    She graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Science, Department of Biology in 1966, and started to work in the Department of Microbiology, Tropical Diseases and Parasitology at Istanbul University Istanbul Medical Faculty in September 1966. She became assistant in 1968 and became a microbiology specialist in 1973 with the thesis subject "Studies with T system bacteriophages of Escherichia coli". Between 1980-1981, she studied at Ninewells Rockhill Hospital virology laboratory in Scotland for one year. In 1982, she earned the title of "Doctor of Medical Sciences" with her doctoral dissertation "The Effects of Some Substances on Tissue Cultures". She was appointed to the teaching staff in 1984 and became Associate Professor in 1989 and Professor in 1996. Since 1996, "The International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses (ICTV) is the representative of Turkey. Between 2000-2006, she served as the head of the "Microbiology and Clinical Microbiology Department of Istanbul Medical Faculty" for two terms, and the head of the "Microbiology and Clinical Microbiology Department of Virology and Basic Immunology" between 2006 and 2011. She retired based on age limit from Istanbul University in October 2011. In the same year, she worked at Haliç University Faculty of Arts and Sciences and is still the Head of Molecular Biology and Genetics Department, Haliç University Senate Member.

    Burcu IRMAK YAZICIOĞLU completed her undergraduate education at Boğaziçi University Molecular Biology and Genetics Department in 1996. In 1998, she received her master's degree from Bilkent University, Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Molecular Biology and Genetics, and her doctorate from the same department in 2003. Professor Dr. Burcu IRMAK YAZICIOĞLU became Associate Professor at Haliç University in 2013 and Professor in 2018. Professor Burcu IRMAK YAZICIOĞLU has been working as a faculty member at Haliç University since 2009. She teaches various undergraduate and graduate courses on molecular biology, genetics and molecular mechanisms of cancer. She specializes in understanding the molecular mechanisms of cancer and carries out scientific studies on this subject. She has scientific researches, projects and publications on identifying tumor-related genetic changes in carcinogenesis and elucidating the phenotypic disorders caused by these changes, especially liver and stomach cancer. Professor Dr. Burcu IRMAK YAZICIOĞLU, during her academic career, assumed the administrative duties of the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of Haliç University and the Head of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. She has been working as the Director of Graduate Education Institute of Haliç University since 2019.

    Dr. Ayyub Ebrahimi graduated from Arak Azad University, Department of Cell and Molecular Biology-Microbiology in 2005. He completed his MSc in microbiology at Zanjan Azad University in 2008. After working at the Biotechnology Research Institute and Genetic Diagnosis Center in Iran, he started his PhD in 2011 at Istanbul University. He received the PhD title of "Molecular Biology and Genetics" in 2016. During this period, he worked as research assistant at Yeni Yüzyıl and Koç Universities. After spending 6 months as a post-doctoral fellow at the Stem Cell Laboratory of Koç University, he joined the academic staff in the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Haliç University. While continuing his academic studies in the Stem Cell, Cancer and Epigenetics fields, Dr. Ebrahimi has recently been teaching courses such as "Genetics, Stem Cell Biology, RNA World, Bioethics, Advanced Molecular Biology Techniques and Recombinant DNA Technologies" in undergraduate and graduate programs.

    Assist. Prof. Özlem SAĞLAM UÇAR graduated from Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Biology Department in 2005. Then she completed her MSc degree in 2008 and PhD in 2014 at the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Medical Biology at the same university. During her PhD education, she worked as a researcher in Kocaeli University, Stem Cell and Gene Therapies Research and Application Center between 2009-2014, and as a company employee in HLA Tissue Typing Laboratory between 2010-2011. After completing her PhD thesis studies she worked as Project Manager at Koçak Farma Pharmaceutical and Chemical Industry. She has been working as an assistant professor at Haliç University since 2016, continues her academic studies in the fields of mesenchymal stem cell, cell culture and disease modeling in experimental animals, and the research of molecular mechanisms of diseases, and gives various undergraduate and postgraduate lessons in her field.

    Assist. Prof. Ayşe Feyza TUFAN DÜLGER graduated from Haliç University, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics in 2007. She has completed her MSc degree at Istanbul University, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics in 2010 with a master's thesis project titled "Comparison of transgene expression in model plants". In 2016, She received her PhD at the same University with her thesis project titled "Analysis of the tolerance in barley to Fusarium culmorum infection at gene expressıon level". She has been with Haliç University, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics since 2016. She teaches Molecular genetics, Molecular biology techniques, Molecular biology techniques laboratory and genetic engineering courses. She continues her researches in the fields of plant biotechnology, plant molecular genetics and pathology.

    Assist.Prof.Dr. KIRMUSAOĞLU completed her undergraduate education at Abant Izzet Baysal University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Biology (English) in 2007 and graduated from doctorate program by working in the field of Microbiology in 2013. She had worked AIBU Izzet Baysal Faculty of Medicine Research and Application Hospital, Microbiology Laboratory and Blood Bank between 2005 and 2008, and worked as a Laboratory Supervisor in the Microbiology Laboratories of various private hospitals between 2009-2010. She worked as a Dr. Lecturer at the Istanbul Kavram Vocational School - Department of Medical Services and Techniques - Medical Laboratory Techniques in 2014 and has been working as a Assistant Professor Doctor at Haliç University - Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics since 2014. She conducts scientific research studies in her own research laboratory and with Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty Department of Medical Microbiology in the fields of medical microbiology, bacteriology, antibiofilm, antibacterial activity, bacterial drug resistance, pathogen-host interactions, pathogenicity, microbiota and molecular microbiology. While she has many international books edited by her, her book General Biology Laboratory Guide was published by Hipokrat Publisher in 2018. She has many international scientific publications and activities, and conducts master thesis consultancy in the field of microbiology.

    Deniz Kanca Demirci graduated from Haliç University, Faculty of Science and Letters, Departments of Molecular Biology and Genetics in 2009. In the same year, she was appointed as a research assistant at this Department. She graduated from Haliç University, Institute of Science, Master's Program in Molecular Biology and Genetics in 2011. In 2018, she graduated from Istanbul University, Aziz Sancar Experimental Medicine Research Institute, Doctorate Program in Molecular Medicine. She has been working as an Assistant Professor at Haliç University, Faculty of Science and Letters, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics since November 2018. She worked as Assistant Manager at Haliç University Graduate Education Institute between May-November 2020. She gives courses in Genetics and Biochemistry fields in undergraduate and graduate programs in the Faculty of Science and Letters, School of Health Sciences and School of Nursing. She continues his academic studies on the genetics of metabolic diseases.

    Gözde Kuru Türkcan completed her undergraduate education at Haliç University Faculty of Arts and Sciences Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics in 2012. She started her master's degree in the Cancer Genetics Department of Istanbul University in 2013 and completed her thesis with the thesis of "Investigation of PALB2 gene mutations in patients with pancreatic cancer in the Turkish population" in 2016. She has been continuing her doctorate education in the same department since 2016. Her doctoral thesis is on the project "Investigation of transcriptomic differences at the whole genome level in monozygotic twins who are discordant in terms of ovarian cancer". She has been working as a research assistant in our department since 2017. At the same time, from 2013 to this time she is a researcher at I.U. Oncology Institute Cancer Genetics Laboratories. She is an assistant in Molecular Biology Applications, Molecular Biology Techniques, Genetics, Microbiology and General Biology Laboratories in our department.

    Res. Asst. Hatice Kurnaz graduated from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics of Haliç University in 2016. Following her undergraduate education, she received her master’s degree from the Medical Biology and Genetics Program of Demiroğlu Bilim University in 2019. Appointed as a Research Assistant for the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics of Haliç University in 2019, she currently continues her doctorate education at the Department of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering of Istanbul Medeniyet University.

    Res. Asst. Şafak Şener graduated from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics of Haliç University in 2014. After his graduation, he started to work as a Research Assistant in 2017 and received his master’s degree in 2018 at the same Department. He started her doctorate studies in 2018 and currently he is a PhD student at the Department of Molecular Medicine within the Aziz Sancar Institute of Experimental Medicine of Istanbul University.

    Research Assistant Anıl Cebeci graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medical Biological Sciences Program in 2003. He completed his Master of Science studies in Molecular Biology-Genetics and Biotechnology Program at Istanbul Technical University (ITU) by 2007 with his thesis entitled "Binding domain analysis of phage display selected peptides". During his master studies, he took part in the study group of University of Washington-ITU on biomimetics in the Turkish-American joint project supported by DPT. He is still at the thesis stage in Molecular Biology-Genetics and Biotechnology Doctorate Program at ITU. His research interests include extremophiles, recombinant protein production, next-generation sequencing, protein engineering applications, biomimetics and cancer genetics.
