Zeynep Pınar Cohen received her BA in Psychological Counseling from Marmara University in 1993, a Master of Applied Psychology at İTCU in 2010, a Master's Degree in Social Sciences from Istanbul University, Institute of Forensic Medicine in 2014 and a PhD in Forensic Medicine Institute of Social Sciences in 2019. She concluded with her thesis titled 'Examining Childhood Trauma, Dissociation and Attitudes Toward Violence in Three Generations of Adults Women'. In 1992, she did an internship at Bakırköy Mental and Neurological Diseases Hospital (AMATEM, Neuroz and Schizophrenia services). He worked in the Addiction Service of Balıklı Rum Hospital between 1993-1994. She has worked as a psychotherapist and tester in a private psychiatric clinic since 2001-2020.
He has EFTA approved family and couple therapist (500 hours) from AETD, EMDR 1st and 2nd level training and practitioner, Rorschach and TAT training from RPTD (2 years), psychodrama and group therapist (700 hours) from Istanbul Psychodrama Association. Since 2019, she has been working as a lecturer at universities, giving lectures on family and couple therapies, psychotherapy theories, introduction to forensic psychology, trauma psychology, attachment and developmental psychology.
Her research interests are childhood trauma, mental trauma, psychotraumatology, family and couple therapies, and violent behavior.
